This Privacy Policy explains how Reliable Digital Electronics collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Panel Tracker application and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information. The name you use to sign in and a personal identification number (PIN). PINs are stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash and are never kept in plain text.
• Repair and panel records. Details you or your colleagues enter about customer jobs, including customer name, phone number, panel name and serial number, reported fault, assigned worker, repair status, dates and times, and payment amounts.
• Media. Photos and videos you attach to panel records.
• Technical information. A session cookie that keeps you signed in, and basic preferences stored on your device such as your chosen theme.

2. How We Use Information

• To operate and provide the Service, including tracking repairs, sign-ins, sign-outs, payments, and outstanding balances.
• To sign you in and keep your session secure.
• To display records and reports to authorised staff of your business.
• To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

3. Google User Data

The Service uses Google APIs to store the shop’s records in a Google Sheet and to store attached media in Google Drive belonging to the business. Access is granted by the business owner through Google’s OAuth consent screen, and is limited to the Google Sheets and Google Drive (drive.file) scopes required to provide the Service.

We use this access solely to read and write the business’s own spreadsheet and the files it creates. We do not access any other Google content, we do not sell Google user data, and we do not share it with third parties except as necessary to run the Service or as required by law. Google’s own handling of your data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

4. How We Store and Protect Information

Records are stored in the business’s Google Workspace (Google Sheets and Google Drive). Access tokens are kept securely and are used only on the server. PINs are hashed, sign-in sessions use an encrypted, HTTP-only cookie, and access to records is limited to authorised staff.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared only with service providers that help us operate the Service (such as Google, used for storage), or where required to comply with applicable law or protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

We retain records for as long as the business needs them to provide the Service, or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of records at any time using the contact details below.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information held about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We also use your browser’s local storage to remember your name, role, theme preference, and a local cache of records for faster loading. These are not used for advertising or tracking.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for use by business staff and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
